High court narrows penalty against Qualcomm

A federal appeals court agreed that Qualcomm violated a standards body's rules but said its punishment should be reduced.

Tessera loses patent ruling, stock dives

The U.S. International Trade Commission ruled that competitors did not infringe chip-packaging patents owned by Tessera Technologies, sending the semiconductor vendor's stock down nearly 10 percent at the end of trading on Monday.

Adobe taps ARM, Qualcomm for mobile Flash

Appeals court affirms Qualcomm infringed patents

An appeals court ruled on Wednesday that Qualcomm did indeed infringe two Broadcom patents, and upheld an earlier injunction on products that use the patents.
